Referring Agencies
The goal of Nu Life Outreach is to redistribute clean bedding and to assist with the security and utilities deposits in acquiring new residences for battered and homeless women and their children. We are a non-profit, volunteer organization. We receive donated clothing, furniture, and appliances in our warehouse and distribute new bedding to clients referred to us through our referring agencies and shelters. All clients must be prescreened and referred by a caseworker from a referral agency or shelter that is familiar with the needs of the client.
It is through our referring agencies and shelter caseworkers that we can do the greatest good. While we manage the distribution of bedding and monetary assistance, we rely on your expertise to prequalify your referrals and to assess their greatest needs.
In an effort to make referring clients easier and to streamline our program, we ask that all clients be referred with the Client Eligibility Form. Make as many copies as you need and keep this form on file. Be sure to fill in the client’s furniture request form completely and mail it to Nu Life Outreach at P.O. Box 956392, Duluth, GA, 30095, or fax it to 1-866-511-8808 for a quicker response. All client information is strictly confidential.
Once we receive the furniture request form we will contact the client as soon as possible. Please indicate if the client is able to pick up the items. We can process these requests more quickly than those requiring delivery but please note that delivery charges will apply.
When items are not immediately available, the client will be placed on a waiting list for available items. We encourage clients to remain in contact with us as their needs change. If your client has special circumstances such as a disability, medical issues, and/or an emergency need for bedding, please let us know and we will make every effort to expedite their request.
If you would like to utilize our services, please call our office at 404-820-9616 and one of our staff will send you the required documents, or feel free to print the Referral Agency Agreement and fax it to us at 1-866-511-8808.
We ask that caseworker(s) who will be sending us clients attend a meeting with our staff where you will receive documents needed for client referral. It’s also a great opportunity to ask questions about our services. You will be provided a tour of our facility to view our set-up and distribution process. Your understanding of what we do and how we do it will result in a more direct and coordinated effort to help your clients.
Please note: To begin your partnership with Nu Life Outreach, your agency must be based in our service area and the clients to be served must also reside in our service area.
